Easter

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Hickman's house for Easter. Despite the chilly weather, we had a BBQ and an easter egg hunt. This year the girls asked me whether the Easter Bunny was real, so I reluctantly told them the truth. It made me sad to see that part of their childhood go (along with the Tooth Fairy, who Hayley's teacher ruined earlier in the school year). They are just growing up way too fast. But it made me feel a little better watching the younger kids hunting for eggs. It was entertaining to see them get so excited. They are all so cute!
Mylie insisted on wearing a cowboy hat all day. We're not sure exactly why the hat was necessary to finding eggs, but she's always marched to the beat of her own drum and that's why we love her!
Jackie asked me to take a picture of her kids and I thought it turned out great! Kenzie and Drew are so photogenic and cute.
Kylee, Hayley and Kenzie hunted for eggs up in the tree. We told them to stick to finding the hard-to-reach eggs and leave the easy ones for the little kids.
Silly Mylie...
Me and Joe watched the kids from up on the deck. He got so excited watching the kids running around squealing. I know he can't wait to be big and play with his cousins.
The grown-ups are party poopers. :)
